First Video Assignment...

In a group of four, discuss and choose between an original Advertisement (for a Wheeler sport/ club / activity OR your own idea for a product) or a Public Service Announcement for a topic affecting your age group. As a group: Write a Treatment & Script, Complete a Proposal / Film Pass (handout in the tray behind Kuhn's desk).

Good AD Example:

Complete the online training Presentation/Quiz for 'Filming on Location' with your group (see link below).

Then, film and revise and re-film as needed. Last - edit it all down to a 1:00 video demonstrating the following:

- a variety of video shots (LS, MS, CU, OSS, etc.)
- scenes recorded from multiple angles
- sound & dialogue captured with external mic use
- music that goes well with the topic or 'feel' of the video
- titles centered and spelled correctly
- transitions (fade in, fade out)

You will receive basic training on Adobe Premiere Pro edit software starting next week. All Pre-Production documents and Location Training ppt must be completed before filming out of class occurs.

AD / PSA Due Thursday, Feb. 9
Note: All videos are shown in class and critiqued by students the following day

Equipment Demo LAB Directions

We will review the equipment during class time. During LAB time, study the test checklist you were given in class with a group of 4. Help each other set up tripod, attach the camera & learn the operations. No games, TV, or music blasting - stay on task and keep focused. You are receiving a lab grade based on how you conduct yourself during lab time.

Your Test = your team of 4 demonstrating the correct set-up, operation, and take down of the any and all equipment and accessories.

TESTING starts THURSDAYJan 26th
